What it does
Pneumatically Actuated Butterfly Valve
A ready assembly in which a butterfly valve and a pneumatic actuator are delivered together. The disc of the valve turns a quarter turn to open and close, and this movement is performed by compressed air.
In large diameters a butterfly valve takes up markedly less space than a ball valve and is lighter, which is an advantage for both installation and handling on wide lines. Combined with an actuator it becomes remotely operable.
The actuator can be selected as single acting (spring return) or double acting. Valve size, body and sealing materials and actuator type are determined per project.
