Class 600 Flanges

A flange is a connection element that allows pipes, valves and equipment to be joined with bolts in a removable manner. The tightness of a flanged joint is determined by the flange standard (DIN/EN, ASME), the pressure class, the gasket material, and by tightening the bolts in the correct sequence and to the correct torque. Two flanges manufactured to different standards cannot be joined even if their outside diameters are similar, because the bolt circles do not match.
